Newquay AFC Youth Committee and their Head Groundsman Mr Alan Letcher proudly display their new ride-on lawnmower supplied from The Graham’s Garden Machinery this week after successfully applying for a Football Foundation equipment grant. The tractor will be used to cut the grass and maintain the playing surface at St Columb Minor Recreation football pitch for all the various matches that will be held there next season for Newquay AFC Youth and various events.
The Chairman of the youth club Martin Burnell said, “This is yet another part of the Club’s improvement plan for the facilities at St Columb Minor. As a youth club, we have already refurbished the roof, the whole interior of the changing rooms and kitchen area and we are now looking to develop the outside area into a communal seating area so everyone can enjoy the park and grass areas. I would also like to thank the Football Foundation, Daniel Greenough, Development officer at the CCFA for all their support and Graham Garden Machinery for suppling the tractor”
