Newquay Raiders (U10’s) vs Falmouth

Newquay travelled to Falmouth today to play their first 9 a-side match. Newquay started the game really well and due to some high pressing won the ball and got it to Josh J who slotted a lovely goal into the bottom corner of the net. A few minutes later Cameron hit a lovely strike over the goalkeeper into the top corner. Newquay continued their pressing into the second and third quarters and had multiple chances but couldn’t find a goal. This was mainly due to some excellent goalkeeping from the Falmouth keeper, who smothered every shot that came his way. Newquay’s efforts paid out in the final quarter thanks to a long-range shot by Seb Hayes that was saved and fell to Josh J who finished his second of the game. Another excellent performance from the team with some lovely passing, determination and team spirit. Well done to all the boys today for winning their first game of 9 a-side. We are all looking forward to the game against Saint Agnes next week.
